SYRACUSE – Small-school football players from Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties are well-represented on the 2024 New York State Sportswriters Association All-State teams announced Wednesday.

Members of the Clymer/Sherman/Panama team lead the way with six first-team selections, a fitting reward after the Wolfpack claimed the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class D championship last month.

Leading that group are senior quarterback Tate Catanese and senior offensive lineman Bryce Hinsdale, who was named co-Player of the Year.

Other first-team honorees from C/S/P are Carter Brink, all senior, offensive end; Alex Barmore, defensive lineman; Collin Ryan, linebacker; and Dalton Richter, defensive back.

The remaining field first-team selection in Class D is junior linebacker Camryn Slade of Gowanda/Pine Valley.

Four members of state runner-up Salamanca are first-team picks in Class C.

They are senior quarterback Maddox Isaac; senior offensive end Corey Holleran; senior defensive lineman Warrick Kyler; and senior linebacker Zachary Tritley.
