Everton could not score and this is a big game for their manager Sean Dyche as it is clear that a large portion of his fans are quite disappointed with the way the team is performing.

Things have already gone a little downhill for Dyche and of course the club has new owners now, so there’s been a lot of speculation about his future.

I still think they’ll survive and the smartest thing to do would be to stick with them, but a loss would give the fans who are against them another stick to beat them with. You can imagine that things will escalate if they lose, so the pressure is real.

Due to the conditions, Dyche will have to be strong with his team selection here, and try to find some rhythm in the final third.

I think they’ll find a way to win this matchup, but I honestly don’t know who will accomplish their goals.

Armando Broza was injured last weekend and, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin would argue he is not getting opportunities, he is a shadow of the player he once was. This must have been extremely frustrating for Dyche when he is in such desperate need of goals.

In contrast, Peterborough have had no problems finding the net, but their form has also not been good and they have picked up just one point from their last five games.

However, Posh will put up a good fight, especially if Tyler Young plays against his father Ashley, who could play for Everton.

When I was 39 – the same age as Ashley – I played with my son Ollie for Wroxham in the Ryman League – but it will be interesting to watch them in opposition teams, as Ashley likes to tackle. He doesn’t back down from anything, so if it’s 50-50 with Tyler what’s going to happen there?!

Sutton’s prediction: 2-0

Billy’s prediction: 3-0
